I'm surprised by Bloc Quebecois performance, and I wish the NDP were doing better. As a whole, I guess it'll be more of the same.

I wish the NDP and liberals were reversed. I also wish the greens had more votes.

They are doing super good according to the actual amount of votes (I understand how our system works I promise) and so is green! Dollars per vote is a big deal for the Green Party too

Proportional representation is what I want but I'll never get it.

Greens are doing so well! It's nice to see

Must be a local pic, those Integras are still surprisingly common in the PNW.

Well here’s at least two Canadians on the internet who want it. Let’s email our MPs about this

I live in the sea of blue in the middle of the country, so I have no idea if they'd be interested.

It will be nice to have an MP again. Mine died some time ago

ha - interesting it’s a old 4dr Integra with the Canadian flag rather than a big bro truck like we’d get down here.

Same!

My friend came in second in her district for... something. It was a landslide against her, but she still got over 4500 votes and she's only 25. I didn't even know she was involved with politics until she casually mentioned she was running.

Not shocked by the Bloc, they weren’t going to get as many seats without Mulclair. The NDP will punch above their weight until the next election because there’s much more in common between the NDP and the Liberals than between the Liberals and the Conservatives.

Once again surprised that th e Rhinoceros party didn’t sweep the nation.

I’m also interested in proportional representation, until I see that the Conservatives actually got 34% to the 33% of the Liberals... and then I ask myself if that’s the minority coalition government I want. But then, the Cons have no real allies who would actually form a majority with them, I suppose?
The CBC panel last night seemed pretty convinced that the issue is dead, however. I doubt we'll see any debate on the issue over the next 4 years.

I brutally misspelled her name. Good for her though. I was in her riding Saturday and you could tell she had it locked down

I liked that they ran a guy named Maxime Bernier in his riding.

Best part is she's trans, too, and was running in rural Manitoba. Everyone kept telling her not to feel bad if and when she finished in dead last, but that ended up not happening at all.

That is even better I love it! I was very surprised at Manitoba this election as well. I’m very glad we have at least one trans MP (not sure if there are others but that’s none of my business)
